It’s been 4 years of being a Jonas Fan. Four years worth all the wait. And finally, the wait is over. My dream of seeing them is coming true.
I never thought this dream will come true earlier. I thought it will come next year (2013). Me and my fellow JBnoys (a term called ourselves as a Filipino Jonas Fan) were just lucky for having this BIG CHANCE to see them, and to see them performing live on stage. Finally, we’re living the dream.
After their successful SOLD OUT come back concert in October 11, 2012 (10.11.12) at Radio City Music hall, they set their feet in the Philippines for their first Asian country on their ASIAN leg tour.
October 19, 2012 friday is the day that I’ve been waiting for. Jonas Brothers live in Manila, 8pm at SM MOA Arena.
I was so excited week/s before the concert. I even have my own countdown. I even freaked out whenever i see the Jonas Brothers concert ad on tv. My parents and my sisters (except for my sis lany which is also a JBnoy like me) think that im crazy. Well, yes. Its true. I AM CRAZY. Crazy for the JONAS BROTHERS especially to Nick Jonas. Haha.
I was so excited at the same time nervous because seriously, I don’t know how to get there in SM MOA ARENA. Ive been to SM MOA twice before and the last time was last year (during Miley Cyrus’ concert) which the SM MOA ARENA is still underconstruction. And that time, i was with my two sisters and my older sis knows how to go there. And this time around, its only me and my younger sis which have no idea about it. But still, we pushed through because we want to reach this dream. We have to take a risk, and yes we did.
CONCERT DAY
Me and my sis Lany woke up early on that day even though we only had less sleep a night before because of too much excitement maybe? We left the house at 8:30am. Isn’t it way too early? Lol. The concert is 8pm and we left the house at 8:30am, how’s that? Well, its better to be early than late. Right? And also we have a meet-up schedule to catch up for picking up our ordered JB shirt and we also have a plan to look around the SM Mall of Asia.
So yeah, at 8:30am we left the house then we waited for the bus for 30 mins i think. Unfortunately, there’s no bus passing through for PASAY (where the SM MOA ARENA located) so we decided to take a bus for SM Pampanga which we’re not even sure if we took the right decision. We took a risk rather than waiting there for nothing.
While we’re on our way, the bus stopped somewhere where they picked up some passengers and we saw an old man beside the street selling for some things like candies, food, drinks, and news papers. And because my sis is having a good sight, she saw something on one of the tabloids selling by the old man. And guess what she saw on tabloid? No other than the Jonas Brothers! When we saw that we’re like, “OMJ! THE JONAS BROTHERS! WE HAVE TO BUY THAT!” We were fangirling inside. Oh my gosh! My sis asked me to go out of the bus and buy that newspaper but im so worried because the bus might go any time. But I still did. I went out of the bus then I bought the newspaper where the Jonas Brothers were on. I even told the guy from the bus not to leave me cause I want to buy something. I even showed the newspaper I bought to him before entering back to the bus. We’re so happy that I got that. Me and my sis were really fangirling inside. We took a pic of that newspaper while we’re holding it. It was really fun. Great thing to do before the concert. I feel like its a sign that it will be a great day for us. And I never expectd that thing. Lol.
At 11 am, the bus finally arrive at SM Pampanga. I’m also a little bit worried that time because I’m not sure if we can find a bus for Pasay. But fortunately, we found one right after we got off from the bus. We found a Victory Liner Bus for Pasay and shoot! Bingo! We get in it and finally we are heading to our distination. Thank God! That was our second bus that we took. It was full but we’re lucky enough that it has still have few seats left for us. Lucky! And guess what? That bus has a Wifi but its useless for me. It doesn’t let my phone connects to the internet. Well, its okay. I just enjoyed sight seeing on the outside view especially when we were in Manila area. I keep looking at the billboards because I’m hoping to get a glimpse and take a picture of Joe Jonas Bench Billboard in Manila. And yes, i saw it! I took a photo of it but I’m almost late. Haha.
After a couple of hours of ride, we arrived in one of the bus terminal in Pasay safely. And we had another problem. Again! We dont know how to get to SM MOA. We dont know what vehicle to take. So my solution was, i keep on asking to the people on that area (pakapalan nalang ng face. Haha). And thanks God, they helped us and we got the right way. From the bus terminal, we took a jeepney ( ‘gpeas’ as Joe Jonas calls it ) which heads to SM Mall Of Asia. And finally, after four hours of traveling from Bataan, after all the worries we had, we finally arrived in our destination safe and sound but hungry. Haha.
We finally entered SM MOA and we tried to look for a fast food chain to eat which was Mang Inasal. We looked around but we couldn’t find it. SM MOA is way to big you know. We tried to look for it until one of the JBnoys named Arnie phone called me and she wants to meet us there. And she’s the first person we’ve ever met from Jbnoys. Then again, we tried to look for Mang Inasal again with her. And because we couldn’t find it, we end up eating on the food court near the ice skating rink. It was so nice having a talk with her. It was the first time we met but it feels like we’ve been known each other for a long time.
While we’re having our lunch, another two JBnoys joined with us. Then after we eat, we went to National Bookstore to meet other JBnoys. They were 3 or 4 of them I think. Plus we are 5 ( me, my sis, and 3 JBnoys I first met). It’s getting more and more. Then we headed to Super Bowl of China restaurant. We just sat there outside. We talked and getting to know each other. Talking bout our boys, the Jonas Brothers of course. It’s so much fun with them. Then we claimed our JB shirt which we are going to wear on the concert.
Later that afternoon, some of them were getting hungry, so they decided to eat something in Jollibee. My plan with my sis to look around the MOA was cancelled. Haha. We stick with JBnoys,wherever they go, we go. Lol.
After a snack in Jollibee, we finally headed to MOA ARENA to fall in line. It was already 6 pm. Me and my sis wore our shirt already. So excited for the concert!
AT THE EVENT
At 6pm, we’re already falling in line outside MOA ARENA. Me and JBnoys were having a little bit of time there. Picture taking with them and had a little chitchats. Then we finally entered at the Coral Gate of MOA ARENA by showing our concert tickets. MOA ARENA is HUGE as i expected. It was my very first time that i entered there. My sis and I took pictures at the lobby. Many fans were taking pictures too. And some fans are buying Jonas Brothers official merchandise also in the lobby. I only took a look of the merchandise. Too bad I cant buy. It’s way too expensive for me. I really want to buy a JB dogtag and ballers. Maybe next time? If there is next time. I hope.
Since our ticket was at lower box section, we headed to the second floor for our seats. And we finally entered inside the Arena, and wow, it is very HUGE! And we’re so happy because our seat is not really a bad seat. We have a near view of the stage. Too bad, i had a blurry sight and that time i thought that it will be bad for me. Knowing that my seat is not too far from the stage but my view is not clear because of my blurry sight.
By almost 8pm, some Filipino artist (which I dont know) performed on stage. And few minutes after those performance, finally Anna Maria Perez de Tagle ( a filipina who was in a Camp Rock movie together with the Jonas Brothers ) appeared on stage. I was so happy because I finally saw her and heard her singing live. She intoduced herself in Tagalog which made me feel more proud of her. Do you know that she’s one of my favorite broadway singer? So seeing her was really a dream come true.
She sang few songs including some OPM songs which are Hinahanap-hanap kita, Please Be Careful With my heart and Torete. She really sang it right just like a real Filipina. Not a slang one. She also sang her own composition. Fans were singing along to her (so do I). It’s not yet the Jonas Brothers but the fans were singing out loud. What more if the Jonas Brothers come out on the stage? Be ready your eardrums. Lol.
After Anna Maria’s performance, here’s we’ve been waiting for, the Jonas Brothers to perform on stage! I was so excited, nervous, overwhelmed, happy, etc.. Mixed emotions. I know Im not the only one who feel that, I think everyone did.
The fans were screaming, waving their glowsticks for their excitement to see them. And later that time, the Jonas Brothers finally came out on stage and sang the song WHEN YOU LOOK ME IN THE EYES.
OMJ! I cant contain my emotions. Tears started to fall from my eyes as i watched and singing along with them. Dreams do really come true. Oh my gosh! Its worth all the wait. I cant stop crying while they are singing one of my favorite song ( which was When You Look Me In The Eyes ). So overwhelming. I dont even care if the people around me see me crying. I just want to feel that moment. A magical moment for me.
My sis also cried at the same time with me. I think we feel the same way. We cant contain our emotions. Such a wonderful feeling.
But after singing their first song, I told myself that i have to stop from crying and i just want to enjoy every single moment. So when they started to sing their next song, which was Much Better, I was really screaming, waving my glowstick in the air and singing out loud. I dont care if I lost my voice for the next day, I just want to have fun.
